We Were Never Supposed to Have Everything Figured Out

People look to you for advice. Your kids think you've got some secret understanding of adulthood. Younger coworkers assume you've seen everything.
Meanwhile, you're still figuring out what you want to be when you grow up.
At least I am.
I used to think there was some magical age when everything would finally make sense. The bills, the relationships, the decisions, the future.
Turns out, experience doesn't necessarily give you answers. Sometimes it simply teaches you which questions are worth asking.
And perhaps that's enough.
We've spent decades learning, failing, adjusting, rebuilding, and occasionally getting something spectacularly right.
Maybe wisdom isn't reaching a point where you stop making mistakes.
Maybe it's becoming comfortable enough with yourself to admit when you've made one.
I don't have everything figured out.
But I'm getting better at recognizing what matters.
And at this age, I consider that progress.
